Friends 😍

Having good friends is an absolute joy. I have had a few tough times trying to navigate between true friends and people who are only concerned about their own needs. Growing up I was the one wanting people to like me and desperate to be in the 'popular' crowd. This resulted in me being friends with people who treated me badly, made fun of me and who I could not trust. One day I decided enough was enough and I have never looked back. My moto is one strike and you are out. I know my worth and know I am a loyal friend. If you want to mess me around then I have one word for you GOODBYE. What I am trying to say is why surround yourself with people who have no respect for you? Why give them the satisfaction of making you upset? Surround yourself with people who build you up! People who love you and all your flaws. Most importantly give love and spread love wherever you go. Friends are angels ready to guide you in the right directions and support you the whole way. Make sure you hold onto those who make you happy!

Peace and love

Finishing college 🤗

So I have officially passed my HNC in nursing and will be starting university in September to study children's nursing. The road was a very long one, I started the course in September 2015. I had always told myself I'd never be able to go to uni as I couldn't afford it. Then one day I just told myself I can do it. I am now a few months from starting university and I can't believe I made it through the course. There was times I wanted to give up and forget it. It has been a huge stress and weight on my shoulders for these past two years. Endless tears, tiredness, stress and no social life. I can honestly say I worked my butt off and I am so unbelievably proud of myself. The message I want to leave you with is never think you can't do something and never give up. If you have dreams chase them and don't stop until you have succeeded. Lynne xxxx

What a crazy world!

So the whole let's start blogging again and keep fit crap didnt last lol. Been far too busy with uni and all the things that come along with being a student nurse. Then wam bam thank you mam CORONA! Like what the hell! So I am now trying to adjust to life as I've never known it or ever imagined it to be. Uni is cancelled and I've now embarked on my journey to work as a student nurse for 6 months to help in this crazy pandemic. But there is a few positives for me....I want to work where I am placed and I get to earn some money. The money struggles for the past 3 years have been hard so this opportunity will actually make my life so much easier. I am scared, excited and really cant wait to see where the next 6 months takes me. Soooooo on that note I thought I'd document my journey 😁😁😁x Stay tuned... Lynne  xxxx

The start of my nursing journey 😁

It was 2014, I was 22 going on 23. I was in a dead end job working in a supermarket and had started to hate working there and knew I needed a change. Since I left school I had worked in opticians as an optical assistant and loved helping others 🤓 A job came up at an eye clinic at a hospital 1.5 hours away from my house. I had applied before for the same position but stupidly knocked it back a few years previous for a job in an office, that ended terribly 🙈 Anyway, I applied for the job and got an interview, the same day the called and said I had the job 😁 My role was a support worker at the eye clinic and I was very excited to get started. I started the job october 2014 and theres when I realised I loved caring for others 🏥 Fast forward a year, I was asked by a few of the nurses if I ever thought about training as a nurse. I laughed as no the thought never even crossed my mind 🤣 I always assumed I could never afford to go back to education or would not be smart enough. However, th...
