The start of my nursing journey 😁

It was 2014, I was 22 going on 23. I was in a dead end job working in a supermarket and had started to hate working there and knew I needed a change. Since I left school I had worked in opticians as an optical assistant and loved helping others 🤓 A job came up at an eye clinic at a hospital 1.5 hours away from my house. I had applied before for the same position but stupidly knocked it back a few years previous for a job in an office, that ended terribly 🙈 Anyway, I applied for the job and got an interview, the same day the called and said I had the job 😁 My role was a support worker at the eye clinic and I was very excited to get started. I started the job october 2014 and theres when I realised I loved caring for others 🏥 Fast forward a year, I was asked by a few of the nurses if I ever thought about training as a nurse. I laughed as no the thought never even crossed my mind 🤣 I always assumed I could never afford to go back to education or would not be smart enough. However, th...

What a crazy world!

So the whole let's start blogging again and keep fit crap didnt last lol. Been far too busy with uni and all the things that come along with being a student nurse. Then wam bam thank you mam CORONA! Like what the hell! So I am now trying to adjust to life as I've never known it or ever imagined it to be. Uni is cancelled and I've now embarked on my journey to work as a student nurse for 6 months to help in this crazy pandemic. But there is a few positives for me....I want to work where I am placed and I get to earn some money. The money struggles for the past 3 years have been hard so this opportunity will actually make my life so much easier. I am scared, excited and really cant wait to see where the next 6 months takes me. Soooooo on that note I thought I'd document my journey 😁😁😁x Stay tuned... Lynne  xxxx

Day one of eating better and exercising 😁

Well today was the first day of changing my eating habits and becoming more active.  Alarm went off at 8.30am and I really wanted to roll back over and sleep. However I got up and completed 45 minutes of yoga (yoga by Adrienne on YouTube). I then had my breakfast which was Greek yoghurt, blueberries and peanut butter. I had a wholemeal bagel, cream cheese and ham for lunch. After uni I was hungry so I had a handful of nuts and an orange on the bus home. Dinner was chilli with wholemeal pasta and a light dusting of cheese. Then the good bit...whilst my other half sat tucking in to some lovely looking donuts I had a camomile and honey tea with a fibre one bar.  My body was sore today but I dont know if that was from the yoga or the CPR session in uni.  Tomorrow will be a busy day! Overall I'm feeling good today but it will take a few weeks to really notice the difference.  Have a good evening 😊 Lynne  xxx

Look Who's Back 😁😁

Wow it's been so long.... 2020 is the year I start blogging again as I have so many exciting things coming up 😁👍 However I wanted to start this blog back up due to starting my health kick tomorrow. I thought if I blogged my progress it would help me stick at it 🙏 So stay tuned ❤ Lynne xxx

Busy bee 🐝 New blog alert

Hey everyone! So I have been majorly busy with university and the bad snow that I've not posted in a while. I am starting a new blog page as I believe I have reached the end with this blog. I want to do a more personal blog page from now on. So this will be my last post on here and I'll put the link to my new one once it's up and running. Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you enjoy my new one just as much. Lots of love... Lynne xxxx

Just believe ❤

So I came home last night and straight to bed I went. Angry, upset and annoyed. I had a bad day and I let every bit of stress knock me down  until sleeping was the only option. When your asleep your body is at rest, your mind is at rest and you start to heal. I woke up this morning feeling slightly better but the stress was still there. So I began to tidy up the house. I had a shower and brushed my teeth. I stuck some comfy clothes on and boiled the kettle. As I stood in the kitchen I looked out the window, a cool breeze brushed over my face. Looking out at the tree's, smelling the damp cold air and i breathed, deeply. I felt the stress of my joints ease and I smiled a little. I have forgot who i am, what i want to become. I started a journey a few years ago to become a happier and more positive person. To attract everything i deserve and everything i have longed for. Some where along that road i have fell into a ditch and have been fighting my way back out, but instead...

"Money can't buy you happiness" 🤔

I often wonder how the saying "money can't buy happiness" came about. Right now I sit and ponder every little thing I want in life and the only way to get it is money. I want to learn how to drive, I want to travel, I want to redecorate the house. All of these things require money. I know I am blessed and lucky to have what I do just now. There is no doubt I am grateful, but money does bring happiness. It allows you to do things like driving, holidays and redecorating. So how can I attract money to me so I can do all the things I would like to do? I will try ask the angels for their help, I will try be more positive around money, I will meditate and try attract abundance. I shall keep you updated with my progress! It's ok to feel down and it's ok to feel lost its how you get yourself out that rut that matters. Lots of love Lynne xxx

Little update!

So I thought I'd give you all a wee update of how things are going. I have recently been back to the doctor to check why I still have this cough, so I am now being tested for asthma. They have given me an inhaler and so far it seems to have helped. Uni has been a struggle I am so exhausted and this is only the beginning. I wish I didn't have to work and could concentrate on uni solely but unfortunately life doesn't work like that. I know if I changed my diet and exercised I'd feel a lot better but Christmas is coming soon and who wants to be on a diet around Christmas time. I only have a few weeks left at uni then we finish up for the holidays. I have 2 essays due in January and I want to make sure I get them partially finished before I finish up. Essays + Christmas just doesn't sound appealing. I'm sure after a wee tipple my essay would be very interesting. I guess my message today is although things can get ontop of you and feel like a struggle you ...

Follow your dreams!

So yesterday I graduated from college with an HNC in Care and Administrative Practice. As you know the road was a long one but I managed to stick at it and get pass. This qualification was what I needed in order to progress into university to study nursing. I am now at university and I am so happy I have finally started my journey. I hope these next 3 years are kind to me and bless me with wonderful mentors who teach me lots and encourage me to blossom. I hope the children I come across get better and smile when they see me. Most of all I hope I can help them and their families even if it's something as simple as a cup of tea, a hug or a listening ear. I am so proud of myself and was a lovely experience to graduate infront if my friends and family. My message today is "follow your dreams" never let anyone or anything distract you from your passion and your goals. You can do it, you will do it and you will succeed there after. I understand you will stru...

Healing my body 🤗

Since I have been unwell lately (still have my cough) I am trying to look after my body better. I have heard eating a spoonful of coconut oil every morning has quite some health benefits. Have a look at this page for more information. http://www.naturallivingideas.com/eat-coconut-oil/ I'm not sure if these benefits are true but I know alot of people who have done it so I shall give it a go. Secondly I am trying to do yoga every day. I started this morning with a 10 minute yoga session for beginners. Here's the link to it https://youtu.be/VaoV1PrYft4. It was a nice little kick me up the butt I needed for the morning. I feel more awake, relaxed and in the right frame of mind. I am also going to try and go walking more often. This will be the most difficult one as when I come home from university I just want to curl up on the sofa and stuff my face. Also I love meditation so I will try incorporate that into my daily routine. Lastly portion sizes are a big problem for...

Why I decided to be a nurse 💊💉🏥

So it's currently 5.30am and I am on my way to work. I won't get home until 9.30pm at the earliest tonight. Sometimes I ponder my decisions in life (laughs) as I have little energy as it is and I've decided to complete another 12 hour shift. The reason I do this is because I want to be a nurse one day. I am currently studying children's nursing at university. I am trying to work in children's wards to build my experience and get a taster for what my career is going to entail. Getting used to 12 hour shifts is also a benefit as I will be doing 3/4 in a row. My choice to be a nurse wasn't something I had always dreamed of. I knew I wanted to work in healthcare somewhere but never dreamed I would be a nurse. People have told me I would be a great psychologist and I did look into it. I have heard from a few people it isn't what it's made out to be. Then I tried nursing in adult wards and knew straight away it wasn't my calling. As soon as I...

I have been quite unwell

So I have had a terrible few weeks, I have had a cough for 5 weeks now and it doesn't seem to be getting better. Yesterday I was really sick and struggled to get any work done for uni. I was stressed and really upset that I couldn't even concentrate. I had to take today off uni as I could barely move or stand up without feeling dizzy and faint. I hope I will feel better soon and can start vlogging again. I hope you are all well ❤ Lots of love Lynne xxxx

First ever vlog! I done it 😁

So I finally plucked up the courage to record and post my first ever vlog. If you have been keeping up with my blog you'll know I was fighting with myself as I didn't feel I had the confidence to do it. I am so proud of myself for doing it and can't wait to record more. Only issue is am stuck for time just now. Vlogging requires a lot of time and I need to try make sure I allow time for it. I love sharing positivity with others so vlogging really allows me to show how much being more positive can help. If you havnt watched my vlog yet please have a look https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuVDt2Nl1 eww86a7ODGG8Mw Thanks Lynne xxx

Essential oils review!

So I thought it would be fun to do some reviews on certain products that help me relax and that I enjoy. Firstly I would like to discuss my collection of essential oils. I had more but they are all finished. Need to start building up my collection again. I will start with my most favourite scent that I love so much... Women's balance by Neals Yard -  www.nealsyardremedies.com/aromatherapy/aromatherapy-oils-and-blends/essential-oil-blends/2715.html This is the most relaxing scent I have ever smelled. The bottle states "relaxing for serenity and poise". I usually put this into my essential oil diffuser which I bought on Amazon last year www.radhabeauty.com/collections/aromatherapy-massage/products/radha-aromatherapy-portable-essential-oil-diffuser. I normally put this on when I am feeling stressed or meditating. The scent is so homely and warming that it can be used just to make your home smell nice. I rate this essential oil 10/10! I rate the diffuser 7/10 ...

My busy little life ❤

So I havnt blogged in a while due to various reasons. I havnt started vlogging yet and I don't think I will. I believe I can spread the word just using my blog. I had such a great day today with my mum and sister. It's my birthday tomorrow so we decided to catch up for some lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies. We had lunch, then went to the loch to ride on a pedalo. What fun we had floating about in the sun. I also bought two new books "how the secret changed my life" my Rhonda Byrne and "The little book of mindfulness" by Dr Patrizia Collard. Both great wee finds and can't wait to read them both. I am getting prepared to start university in September. I am going to study children's nursing. I can't wait to get started and give my heart and soul to those little ones who need my help. Things are all go go go at the moment but I love the sense of feeling excited and slightly uncertain of what the next few years will hold f...

Vlogging

Sorry I haven't posted in a while I have been fighting with myself over wanting to do a vlog but not having the confidence. People can be so mean on social media and I think a lot of people take it too seriously. Who cares if you don't have the best camera or sound gadgets or the pretty face and body, well everyone! hence why I am debating whether to do it or not. I would love to speak to you all in a more personal way and show you things I have bought etc. I just don't have the thick skin that is needed when vlogging. If any of you vlog and can give me any tips on how to get started and how to be more confident then please share with me. Thanks Lynne xx

Finishing college 🤗

So I have officially passed my HNC in nursing and will be starting university in September to study children's nursing. The road was a very long one, I started the course in September 2015. I had always told myself I'd never be able to go to uni as I couldn't afford it. Then one day I just told myself I can do it. I am now a few months from starting university and I can't believe I made it through the course. There was times I wanted to give up and forget it. It has been a huge stress and weight on my shoulders for these past two years. Endless tears, tiredness, stress and no social life. I can honestly say I worked my butt off and I am so unbelievably proud of myself. The message I want to leave you with is never think you can't do something and never give up. If you have dreams chase them and don't stop until you have succeeded. Lynne xxxx

Body And Soul Fayre Glasgow

So this weekend I went to the body and soul fayre in Glasgow. It was a beautiful day the sun was out and I was surrounded by positive energy. I bought a few wee goodies... A white dream catcher which is now hanging above my bed. Some lovely incense and sand for my incense burner. Sandalwood and musk wax melts. Frankincense and sandalwood soap. Two new crystals which were amethyst  (which is my fave) and rose quartz. I also attended a crystal clairvoyance talk which was very interesting. All in all it was a positive energy filled day. Can't wait for the next one. Hope you all have a fab week and remember to stay positive! Lots of love and happy vibes Lynne xxx

Never fight fire with fire 🔥

So as previously mentioned I am Lynne and thank you for visiting my page. I was handed The Power by Rhonda Byrne by a previous friend of mine. We are no longer friends but I believe we met so she could pass on this book to me. The book changed me as a person, I have a more positive outlook on life and I know when I am starting to feel down how to get out of it. I have learned to appreciate the smallest things in life and feel so lucky to be alive. The world is a beautiful invention filled with beautiful people like yourself. What is not to love? I am on my journey to a new spiritual happy life , yes I do get down days, I still get stressed but I now know how to deal with it. Karma as I have mentioned before is a big part of my focus. Keeping your karma good is very important. How you react to negativity is important also. If you fight fire with fire you will only burn, But if you put those flames out then the negativity can't keep burning. If you think you are ready f...
