Follow your dreams!

So yesterday I graduated from college with an HNC in Care and Administrative Practice. As you know the road was a long one but I managed to stick at it and get pass. This qualification was what I needed in order to progress into university to study nursing. I am now at university and I am so happy I have finally started my journey. I hope these next 3 years are kind to me and bless me with wonderful mentors who teach me lots and encourage me to blossom. I hope the children I come across get better and smile when they see me. Most of all I hope I can help them and their families even if it's something as simple as a cup of tea, a hug or a listening ear. I am so proud of myself and was a lovely experience to graduate infront if my friends and family. My message today is "follow your dreams" never let anyone or anything distract you from your passion and your goals. You can do it, you will do it and you will succeed there after. I understand you will stru...

Healing my body 🤗

Since I have been unwell lately (still have my cough) I am trying to look after my body better. I have heard eating a spoonful of coconut oil every morning has quite some health benefits. Have a look at this page for more information. http://www.naturallivingideas.com/eat-coconut-oil/ I'm not sure if these benefits are true but I know alot of people who have done it so I shall give it a go. Secondly I am trying to do yoga every day. I started this morning with a 10 minute yoga session for beginners. Here's the link to it https://youtu.be/VaoV1PrYft4. It was a nice little kick me up the butt I needed for the morning. I feel more awake, relaxed and in the right frame of mind. I am also going to try and go walking more often. This will be the most difficult one as when I come home from university I just want to curl up on the sofa and stuff my face. Also I love meditation so I will try incorporate that into my daily routine. Lastly portion sizes are a big problem for...

Why I decided to be a nurse 💊💉🏥

So it's currently 5.30am and I am on my way to work. I won't get home until 9.30pm at the earliest tonight. Sometimes I ponder my decisions in life (laughs) as I have little energy as it is and I've decided to complete another 12 hour shift. The reason I do this is because I want to be a nurse one day. I am currently studying children's nursing at university. I am trying to work in children's wards to build my experience and get a taster for what my career is going to entail. Getting used to 12 hour shifts is also a benefit as I will be doing 3/4 in a row. My choice to be a nurse wasn't something I had always dreamed of. I knew I wanted to work in healthcare somewhere but never dreamed I would be a nurse. People have told me I would be a great psychologist and I did look into it. I have heard from a few people it isn't what it's made out to be. Then I tried nursing in adult wards and knew straight away it wasn't my calling. As soon as I...

I have been quite unwell

So I have had a terrible few weeks, I have had a cough for 5 weeks now and it doesn't seem to be getting better. Yesterday I was really sick and struggled to get any work done for uni. I was stressed and really upset that I couldn't even concentrate. I had to take today off uni as I could barely move or stand up without feeling dizzy and faint. I hope I will feel better soon and can start vlogging again. I hope you are all well ❤ Lots of love Lynne xxxx

First ever vlog! I done it 😁

So I finally plucked up the courage to record and post my first ever vlog. If you have been keeping up with my blog you'll know I was fighting with myself as I didn't feel I had the confidence to do it. I am so proud of myself for doing it and can't wait to record more. Only issue is am stuck for time just now. Vlogging requires a lot of time and I need to try make sure I allow time for it. I love sharing positivity with others so vlogging really allows me to show how much being more positive can help. If you havnt watched my vlog yet please have a look https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuVDt2Nl1 eww86a7ODGG8Mw Thanks Lynne xxx

Essential oils review!

So I thought it would be fun to do some reviews on certain products that help me relax and that I enjoy. Firstly I would like to discuss my collection of essential oils. I had more but they are all finished. Need to start building up my collection again. I will start with my most favourite scent that I love so much... Women's balance by Neals Yard -  www.nealsyardremedies.com/aromatherapy/aromatherapy-oils-and-blends/essential-oil-blends/2715.html This is the most relaxing scent I have ever smelled. The bottle states "relaxing for serenity and poise". I usually put this into my essential oil diffuser which I bought on Amazon last year www.radhabeauty.com/collections/aromatherapy-massage/products/radha-aromatherapy-portable-essential-oil-diffuser. I normally put this on when I am feeling stressed or meditating. The scent is so homely and warming that it can be used just to make your home smell nice. I rate this essential oil 10/10! I rate the diffuser 7/10 ...

My busy little life ❤

So I havnt blogged in a while due to various reasons. I havnt started vlogging yet and I don't think I will. I believe I can spread the word just using my blog. I had such a great day today with my mum and sister. It's my birthday tomorrow so we decided to catch up for some lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies. We had lunch, then went to the loch to ride on a pedalo. What fun we had floating about in the sun. I also bought two new books "how the secret changed my life" my Rhonda Byrne and "The little book of mindfulness" by Dr Patrizia Collard. Both great wee finds and can't wait to read them both. I am getting prepared to start university in September. I am going to study children's nursing. I can't wait to get started and give my heart and soul to those little ones who need my help. Things are all go go go at the moment but I love the sense of feeling excited and slightly uncertain of what the next few years will hold f...
